I love getting out to be interviewed on podcasts, and I jump at every opportunity to do it.
But for my better half, Julia, it isn’t her thing.
Ironically, her business is getting her clients booked on podcasts (and she does a great job of it). But she doesn’t feel the pull to go out and be interviewed herself.
So far she’s turned down every request to hop in front of a mic, and at first I thought this was a mistake …
Yet it makes sense (for her).
Her business is almost full at the moment, she has a steady stream of prospects coming to her daily and she’s busy with the other aspects of her business. She’s not sitting around and twiddling her thumbs.
That’s not to say that she’ll never do them. She’s just not feeling it right now.
At that’s ok, it’s her business and her choice.
There are a whole lot of things that you can be doing for your business, but you don’t have to do everything (just because me or anyone else says that you should be doing it).
You don’t have time to do everything, so you’ll have to be selective with where you spend your energy.
If you like doing something, and it brings results, do it.
If you don’t enjoy something, don’t do it. You won’t get great results if you don’t like it anyways.
You can feast from a whole buffet of business-building options out there …
Take my Secret Coach Club newsletter, for example. Every issue has a number of things you can do to get more coaching clients. You don’t have to do all of them. If you implement even some of what I teach, you’ll get results.
