There’s a saying that, paraphrased, goes something like this:
“White space is the devil”
It means that empty gaps in your calendar will kill your business.
Everybody is busy, and think that they don’t have time to do more calls.
But is that really the case?
– Surfing the web
– Getting sucked into your Facebook newsfeed
– Playing apps and games
– Texting with friends
– Doing a Netflix marathon
– Etc etc etc
These all add up to a considerable amount of time wasted.
This week I made a commitment to fill up as many of my slots as possible by connecting with people on Skype. I took the approach to have fun, and give as much value as I could.
Does it mean that everyone will become clients? No. But some cool things will come of these calls. Every person that I connect with could become:
– a potential partner
– a future fan and ambassador
– a friend
– a podcast interview
– someone who teaches me a lesson
– someone that I help
That makes it pretty worthwhile, right?
