Discovery calls can eat up a lot of time for coaches.

It’s not uncommon to spend hundreds of hours per year on the calls.

And that’s not including the time lost when people are no-shows or have to reschedule at the last minute.

I’ve heard of coaches getting burned out from them, and I can’t blame them.

I get it, discovery calls are usually needed so the prospect (and the coach) can see if they’re a good fit to work together.

But wouldn’t it be nice to get paying clients without having to do them?

When I first spoke with Rob Goyette about getting his help for my laser coaching program, I was surprised when he told me that you don’t have to do discovery calls to fill your spots.

I followed what he taught me, and sure enough I didn’t spend a single minute on a discovery call with any of the laser clients who enrolled with me in 2019.

Instead, my iPhone buzzed with a PayPal notification every time a payment from a new client came in (that’s one of my favourite sounds in the world)
