Years ago someone went a little crazy on Facebook.
Like Charlie Sheen when he was screaming about #winning and “Tiger Blood”, this guy ranted 24/7 about fellow (more well-known and successful) online entrepreneurs.
Each post and video got more non-sensical and strange, but he promised there was a method to his madness and he would reveal a grand master plan when it was all done.
I usually try to avoid craning my neck at traffic accidents, and the same goes for online wrecks. I prefer to keep my eyes on the road, but it was intriguing. I couldn’t help but check in a few times a day and see what he was up to since it was so weird.
But after a few days of this, it became clear that there was no plan. The wild ravings continued, but no one could tell what his business was exactly, and everyone lost interest and moved on.
Fast forward and I can’t even remember the guy’s name …
Anyways, he ended up apologizing to his Facebook friends for the whole thing, and that was that.
Unfortunately, he wasted a lot of time and energy that could have been spent on actually building his business.
While I’m all for being unique and doing things to stand out from the crowd, there are better ways to do it than impersonating Charlie Sheen.
