Use your noodle and get the boodle

by | Nov 20, 2018 | Blog

Napoleon Hill’s classic book “Think And Grow Rich” almost had a very different title.

Hill was having trouble deciding on a name for it, and his publisher was losing his patience.

Finally, he told him that if he didn’t give him a title by the next morning that they would be printing the book as “Use Your Noodle And Get The Boodle”.

(Apparently “boodle” was slang for the word “money” back in the 1930’s)

Hill was determined to not be stuck with that title, and was certain it would embarrass him and make him a laughing stock.

So before he went to sleep that night, he sat on the edge of his bed and commanded his subconscious mind to come up with a better title.

Around 2 am, he awoke with “Think And Grow Rich” on his brain, and excitedly phoned his publisher with the news.

TAGR has gone on to sell over 100 million copies, and is credited by many influential people as the reason for their successes.

But imagine if the publisher had slapped “Use Your Noodle And Get The Boodle” on the cover?

I doubt it would be regarded as one of the most important personal development books of all time, and it might have sold a few hundred copies (if that).

When it comes to selling books, there’s a lot more to it than the words on the pages.

There’s a science to having your book make an impact out in the marketplace, and Jenna Stone is going to share more in a live training today at 1 pm EST.

It’s called “From Author To Authority In Seven Simple Steps”, and you can save your spot for it here:
