The worst karaoke song in the world

by | Oct 9, 2018 | Blog

A friend shared a funny video the other day.

It was of a guy singing karaoke in a bar, and his song of choice was “Tequila”.

(By the way, my go-to karaoke songs are “Burning Love” and “Brown Eyed Girl” – I’ve broken a few windows with them back in the day).

So I’m not trying to pick on the guy here, because anyone with the guts to sing karaoke in front of a room full of drunk strangers deserves full credit …

The problem is “Tequila” has just three words in total, and if there was an award for the worst karaoke song in the world it would be a front-runner for it.

For most of the song the guy is standing awkwardly with microphone in hand, looking bored and waiting for the rare chance to say “tequila” (for the record, I get that he did it for laughs).

His performance reminds me of how most online entrepreneurs do their email marketing.

They leave long gaps between when they email their list.

In the meantime, it’s nothing but silence (so much so that their subscribers forget they’re even there).

Why the long bouts of radio silence?

Sometimes it’s a case that they’re busy with other business stuff and think they don’t have the bandwidth to email more often.

Other times they’ve been told by “experts” that they should only email once or twice a month, or risk having a mob at their door.

Here’s the thing:

If you’re only emailing your list once in a blue moon, you’re leaving money on the table.

People subscribe to it because they want help with something, so why aren’t you helping them?

I say it’s better to email your list consistently than to play hide and seek with subscribers.

If you take the “rarely-email” approach, it’s like choosing an instrumental song for karaoke, it just doesn’t work.

I may not be much of a karaoke singer, so I can’t help you there …

But I can show you how to use daily emails to grow your business.

I’ve put everything that I’ve learned about it into my “Daily Email System”, and you can get it for 50% off the regular price now before it officially launches on October 22nd.
