Back when I started my coaching business, I spoke with a fellow coach who told me a story that stuck with me:

She was on vacation and walking down a beach with her friend (in the good ole days when people were allowed to walk freely on beaches) and she kept hearing a cash register sound coming from her friend’s pocket.

When she asked the friend what the noise was, she told her she was selling an online course and that was the notification sound she set up on her phone whenever a new sale came in.

Flash forward a few years after that when I started selling my first online course, and I clearly remember waking up one morning to a notification on my phone that someone had purchased it overnight.

That was probably the sweetest notification to ever grace the screen of my smartphone!

Online courses are a great way to “make money while you sleep”, but it’s not as easy as it sounds.
