Whenever I pop over and check my LinkedIn, I feel like I have to go get a shower.
Why?
Because I’m getting a bunch of messages in my inbox from people who just connected with me and immediately start pitching me with canned copy and pasted stuff.
In some cases they even say “Hi (First Name)!” and forget to insert my name … or they call me by another name like “Mike”.
Then they drop a bunch of links, or ask to hop on a call to sell me something.
I’m not saying that LinkedIn is the only social media platform where this stuff is going on, but I’ve noticed that it’s been particularly bad lately.
Not that it’s all been negative experiences there …
One person who understands LinkedIn is Tobin Slaven. When he first reached out to me, it didn’t feel gross or icky – he was sincere and we ended up doing business because he approached me the right way.
Tobin is going to teach his method for using LinkedIn to get more clients on a training we’re doing later this week.
It’s called “How To Do LinkedIn Differently By Mastering The 4 Gears Of Marketing”, and it’s happening on Friday, April 24th at 4 pm EST. You can register for it here:
