The missing ingredients

Imagine if someone goes to the gym religiously every morning.

This guy shows up whether he’s feeling well or not, whether it’s raining or sunny outside.

He’s the first to arrive, waiting right at the door for when the gym opens.

He has expensive sneakers and gym clothing (the best that money can buy).

But once he gets inside, this dedicated gym rat spends the whole time shooting the breeze with others about what happened on his favourite reality show the night before, looking at himself in the mirror, and snapping selfies with his iPhone.

He does everything but actually exercise!

Would his consistent trips to the gym make any difference to his overall fitness? Would he look any better just because he spends a lot of time hanging around the gym?
