HELPING COACHES GET MORE CLIENTS SINCE 2014!

Take your job and shove it

I stumbled across an article about micromanaging managers who have gotten even worse with their employees working remotely during COVID lockdowns.

While these types were annoying during normal times, they’ve kicked it up a notch over the last few months and are now treating their employees like two-year olds who need to be monitored 24/7.

Their demands include:

  • daily video meetings that serve little or no purpose, and multiple check-ins throughout the day (with text messages being sent out from the company should the employee not respond quickly enough)
  • daily “to-do” lists being submitted to the manager, with a virtual meeting at the end of the day to account for every minute of the employee’s day and ensure all of the tasks on the list were completed.
  • video monitoring of the employee from their laptop at all times (which is understandably causing privacy concerns)

Apparently these demands are even being made of employees who were highly-trusted when working in the office but are now being accused of turning into lazy dopes binge-watching Netflix and shooting TikTok videos just because they’re working from home instead of the office.

When I hear stories like this it makes me happy to be my own boss with an online coaching business, even if the guy in my mirror can be a pain in the butt at times too.

If you’d like to make the break and build your own coaching business, check out my “Construct Your Dream Coaching Business” program.

You’ll be surrounded by supportive coaches in it, and you can finally tell your micromanaging boss to go “shove it”.
