I love Superman.
As a kid, I used to run around my yard with a red cape that my mother made for me with a crudely-drawn “S” on it, and that cape went under my clothes when I reverted back to my secret identity.
My childhood was spent soaking in the Superman films.
While Superman: The Movie and Superman II are the ones that get critical praise (93% and 89% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, respectively), I really liked Superman III.
Superman III wasn’t well-liked by critics – it only got a 26% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
But I pulled a very valuable lesson from that movie.
It’s a lesson that I’ve used countless times to grow my own business, and have passed it along to clients to help them grow theirs.
Did the lesson come from Superman being infected with kryptonite and becoming a depressed jerk?
Was it from his acts of blowing out the Olympic Flame and straightened the Leaning Tower of Pisa? (not cool)
Or maybe it was something from the slapstick comedy provided by comic legend Richard Pryor in the film?
Sorry to be a tease, but you’ll get the answer in the April issue of my Secret Coach Club newsletter, which goes to print in just a few days.
