It’s a noisy marketplace out there nowadays, and if you’re a coach you can’t afford to be shy.
Shy coaches are broke coaches.
I’m not saying that you can’t be successful if you’re an introvert.
I’ve had some very successful podcast guests and clients who describe themselves as introverts – but they know that they have to market their businesses or they won’t eat.
You have to blow your own horn, since no one else will do it for you.
I see this holding back a lot of coaches.
They think that if they promote themselves too much they’ll look like P.T. Barnum (the famous carnival showman and admitted-blowhard from the 19th century).
So they don’t do the consistent promoting that’s required.
They do a bit of it, but it feels icky and then they stop.
That won’t cut it.
You have to be blowing your own horn consistently. You have to let others know how good you are, or they’ll hire someone else.
One place you’re free to promote yourself is in the “Promotion Friday” thread that we do every Friday in The Coaching Jungle Facebook group.
In that thread you can reach over 21,000 members who could want what you have.
The newest Promotion Friday thread just went up in the Jungle, so if you aren’t already a member you can join and take part by going here:
