In my humble opinion, we humans are capable of a lot more than we give ourselves credit for.
When setting goals, most people push their deadlines back so they have more time to complete them.
Something that should take just two months to complete ends up taking six months (if completed at all).
Look at the extra time being eaten up this way!
When I launched my podcast Natural Born Coaches back on November 17th, 2014, I did something that everyone told me was crazy.
I started planning the show in October of that year, and since it was going to be a daily podcast with a ton of recordings (60 of ’em) and a pile of work needed before the launch, everyone told me to stick with my original planned launch date of January 1st, 2015.
When I told some trusted advisors that I was going to bump the launch up to November 17th, they all said I was crazy and I would never hit it.
I was even told it was “impossible” by one of them.
I can’t blame them, since back then I was doing all the editing and uploading for my show.
But I achieved my goal and hit my early deadline.
It wasn’t magic, but I used a neat little trick to launch my show six weeks earlier than anyone thought I could.
(I have to credit my grandfather for this trick)
The first point to this is to bump your deadlines up considerably from where you currently have them, to really push yourself to break barriers and become more productive than you ever imagined.
