In this age where people bow before the alter of political correctness and tiptoe around the possibility of offending anyone, there’s something appealing about straight-talkers who speak their minds.
That could be one of the reasons that I like the movie “Bulworth”, about a politician who just decides to say what he’s thinking without pandering or using political spin.
Denis Leary is a good example of a real-life Bulworth. I’m currently reading his book “Why We Don’t Suck”, which is a stinging attack on today’s “snowflake culture”, and a call to share and listen to ideas without getting offended.
(You can’t blame him for being partisan, since he’s hard on both major US political parties)
Another straight-talker who comes to mind is Nick Fortune …
When I first met Nick (who’s called “The Bald Bull”) , he struck me as someone who speaks his mind and tells people what they need to hear, not what they want to hear.
That’s been a big reason why he’s done so well with his business “Fortune DNA”, which helps coaches and entrepreneurs keep more of their hard-earned money in their pockets.
Nick will be doing a training on Thursday to show how you can keep more of your money too, and here’s the link to save your spot for it:
