Kryptonite for coaches

Rumour has it that Henry Cavill is done playing Superman in the DC movie universe.

Although Cavill looked the part of Superman, there was something “off” about his performance …

He played the role as depressed and moody – even snapping Zod’s neck, which was *completely* out of character from the “Big Blue Boy Scout” who stands for truth, justice, and the American Way.

In my mind, Christopher Reeve portrayed Superman perfectly. Sure, he was a little corny at times, but he embodies what I think the creators had in mind for Superman.

Cavill’s portrayal is darker, like Batman, and Superman is supposed to be the opposite.

I’m not saying that he’s 100% at fault, since he’s an actor delivering the lines that the studio wants him to, and the whole DC movie universe has been a dumpster fire since it started (hey, maybe here’s a chance to start fresh?).

Looking at this from a business perspective, and especially for coaches, it shows the importance of being yourself when you’re putting your message out into the marketplace.

If you’re not the type to curse up a storm, don’t drop five F-bombs in every sentence just because you want to appear cool and edgy.

On the flip side, if you usually curse like a sailor in your personal life, don’t put yourself out there like you’re Mother Teresa avoiding naughty words.

“Authenticity” is a buzz word nowadays, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t important.

When you’re authentic, you’ll draw the right people closer to you while repelling those who aren’t a fit.

So if you’re a Superman, don’t try to be Batman. If you pretend to be someone you’re not, that’ll weaken your business just like Kryptonite – to stick with the whole Superman metaphor.

With my Secret Coach Club print newsletter, you can just be yourself while you’re putting what you learn into action every month.

It doesn’t try to impose a personality on you (actually it works best when you inject your own personality into it).

I see “experts” out there charging $5,000 or $10,000 for seminars that will teach you how to be authentic, but Secret Coach Club is just $97/month (or $41/month if you go with an annual subscription).

The October issue is going to print soon, so fly over here for more details:
