Christmas is the time of year where you want to enjoy your family, friends and the season. It gets a little harder to be in the work flow, it’s more difficult to reach people, and business isn’t always at the top of your mind.
As much as I enjoy the holidays (and will be taking some time to do so), I’m always careful about taking too much time off. I’ve seen many coaches and entrepreneurs shut down in mid-December and take until mid-January (or even later) to get their heads back in the game.
If you want 2015 to be better than 2014, you can’t take your eye off the ball for too long around the holidays. I’m not suggesting that you work away while your kids are opening presents or miss family functions on account of work. Take a few days to relax, unwind and recharge for next year (the holidays are a great time for reflection and setting goals for the upcoming year). But always remember that the new year is right around the corner, and you can’t afford to be caught flat-footed when it rolls around.
Happy holidays everyone!
