It may not be politically correct to say this in 2019, but I’m a capitalist.
Actually I’m surprised when I see some entrepreneurs bashing capitalism and embracing socialism.
Someone (I believe it was Mitch Miller) once said that the reason that a lot of entrepreneurs fail is they are socialists competing in a capitalist system.
I agree.
This year I’ve been banging my pro-capitalism drum more loudly than in past years, and the socialist Bernie Sanders/AOC types have been crawling out of the woodwork to tell me that I’m wrong and how evil capitalism is.
I’ve been getting a lot of messages saying that I should cool it and shut up, or it’ll “cost me business”.
(The funny thing is they’re bashing capitalism from their $1000 iPhones …)
Here’s the thing:
I don’t want to work with everyone, and especially not socialists.
If you’re “feeling the Bern” or you have AOC posters on your bedroom wall, we’re going to get along as well as the Hatfields and the McCoys.
I’m not your guy.
Everything I’m doing in my business is designed to drive away the socialists and pull in the capitalists.
