A lot of coaches have Facebook groups, but they admit that there’s not much going on in them.
They usually have 50,100, or maybe a few hundred members – but the owner is the only one posting, and there’s little engagement.
That can be frustrating and leads to the group slowing withering on the vine.
It reminds me of a term in the podcasting world called “podfading”. Podfading is when a host starts to put out new episodes more sporadically, and the show eventually dies a slow death.
(I’ve also heard it called “Pod-gatory”…)
I’ve never heard the term “Groupfading”, but it’s the same idea.
If your group is currently in that situation, it can be swung around.
It doesn’t even require starting a new group, although in some cases (ie: a shift in niches) that could be the best route.
