Back when I was a coaching rookie, I cut my fees for a particular client.
These were the early days and I needed the money, so when he balked at paying full price and wouldn’t budge from his offer to pay me 50%, I gave in.
I instantly regretted it.
I felt like I let myself down, and the coaching relationship didn’t go very well since I shot myself in the foot right out of the gate.
When you don’t respect yourself enough to stick to your fees and you aren’t willing to walk away from potential business, you’re lowering your standing in the eyes of your clients (and yourself).
