The thought of getting sick is a nightmare for most online entrepreneurs.

Others may have bad dreams about giving a speech naked, or falling off a cliff to their death, or Justin Bieber moving back to Canada (not saying that I’ve had that one) …

But for those of us doing business online, getting sick is different than those who have jobs and have sick time (and who still get paid while recovering in bed).

I remember getting a nasty flu bug a few years back, and choosing to record a podcast interview with a garbage can by my feet just in case I needed it (I’m happy to report that I made it through the recording unscathed).

I also lost my voice for a few days last year, which is never good for someone who relies on his voice for content.

Recently, several coaches I know were knocked flat on their backs with illness, and went MIA for the time that they were laid up.

One of the reasons that I love having a daily Alexa flash briefing is I record the shows well in advance, and they drip out every day just as I scheduled them to.

While I haven’t been sick in a while, if I do catch something then I have content that’s scheduled for the next few months. Business would continue and people could still benefit from the message that I’m sharing.

Bang for the buck, a daily flash briefing is well worth the few hours a month it takes to record the shows – especially when you consider that you can share them all around social media and on other platforms.
