How to out-earn The Monopoly Man

Someone posted a funny meme on Facebook the other day. It read:

“Being famous on Facebook is like being rich in Monopoly – it’s not real, so calm down”

I get the point behind it:

You can’t buy groceries with your Facebook “likes”.

You can’t make your car payment or pay your mortgage with them either.

A lot of entrepreneurs are wasting time online going after vanity metrics that aren’t moving the needle for their businesses.

At the end of the day, sales trump Facebook likes, comments, shares, and number of friends/fans.

But it doesn’t mean that you can’t get a lot of business from Facebook.

Since 2014, social media (especially Facebook) has been one of the big ways that I’ve been getting coaching clients and customers.

While it feels good when people “like” and share my content, I take a different approach to social media than most coaches …

Instead of fishing for virtual high-fives, I’ve learned how to monetize it by posting engaging content and drawing my target clients to what I’m offering.
