Here’s how you can rock your webinars

The bar has been set very, very low when it comes to webinars nowadays.

Example:

I did a webinar re: daily emails a few days ago.

I knew that I had a lot to cover, so I didn’t mess around with a long bio or fluffy talk. I jumped right into the meat of it, and covered a lot of ground over the next hour.

When I finished, I started getting messages from people saying how much they enjoyed it and how surprised they were that they got value from it.

Line Brunet, a coach in British Columbia, sent me this:

I’m not saying this to blow my own horn, but to point out that so few webinars actually teach anything nowadays that it’s a big shock when they do.

Imagine that – actually give value on webinars, and you’ll shock and amaze people?!

What do most webinars do? They spend 15 or 20 minutes giving the host’s bio and life story, then a little bit of meat before going into a long-winded sales pitch at the end.

It leaves the attendees feeling like they wasted their time.

Years ago, I watched a lot of webinars and got plenty of notes and useful stuff from them. Nowadays, I’m a lot like Line and feel like leaving most after 15 minutes.
