I was talking with Tom Ruwitch recently about something he’s noticed with coaches (and all entrepreneurs). He said:
“I know so many coaches who, if you’re sitting with them and just having a conversation, having a beer, having lunch with them, they’re great.
They have great personalities … they’re funny, they’re entertaining, they’re captivating.
And yet when they put content out it’s all; ‘Now Mr. and Mrs. Serious, I’m going to share the information and the expertise that I have’, and it’s boring …”
I agree with Tom!
It seems like there’s a real fear of appearing “unprofessional”, so coaches keep things buttoned-up.
The result is they turn out a very corporate, safe, and sanitized message that doesn’t turn into sales.
