HELPING COACHES GET MORE CLIENTS SINCE 2014!

Guy Kawasaki’s experiment

by | Oct 1, 2017 | Blog

This is a story for those who are afraid that they’re posting too much content, or sending too many emails to their list.

I heard Guy Kawasaki speak at a conference earlier this year, and he said that he once did a little experiment.

He decided that he would post the exact same post (word for word) from his Facebook fan page 3x on one day, to see how many of the 450,000 fans would complain about the identical posting.

Would it be 1000? Maybe 5000? It could even be 10,000 but Kawasaki figured that with almost half a million fans he could afford to lose some.

Guess how many people complained to him?

Just two!

Kawasaki’s point was that people aren’t paying attention to us as much as we think they are, and you shouldn’t be afraid of putting more content out there.

If someone who has 450,000 fans got just a few complaints, how many do you think you’ll get?

I just started working with a new client, and I asked her how often she’s putting her content out there.

She told me that instead of posting content regularly, she’s been putting out just one “really good” piece of content every week.

I’m not big on this approach. You could create the best thing in the world, but if you’re only putting it out once, a lot of people are going to miss it (unless you’re paying for advertising to keep it in front of people).

I prefer the approach of staying in front of people daily, instead of hoping they stumble across the rare content you release.

A great way to stay in front of people daily is by sending daily emails …

People will get used to seeing you in their inbox, and if you do it right, will look forward to reading your messages every day.

The whole October Secret Coach Club newsletter will be devoted to explaining my daily email system, so you can get started with it the day after you go through it.

If you’re ready to starting emailing daily, learn how I do it here:
