You’re not greedy for wanting to charge more for your coaching.

If you’re struggling with this, here’s some inspiration from the lawyer Gerry Spence. Spence is famous for winning some huge cases and never losing a criminal one (he had an unbeaten streak in the hundreds of trials when he retired a few years back). In his book How To Argue and Win Every Time, he wrote:

Wherever I go, lawyers ask, “How do you get those big-money verdicts?” I reply that I simply ask for the money. I tell the jury what I want …

People are afraid to tell others what their services are worth … In a civil money case, I tell the jury outright that I want them to give my client money, and how much. When the jury retires to reach its verdict, it knows exactly what I want. Such openness also serves my credibility. how can we feel comfortable with someone who we know wants something from us but who will never be honest about it?

Let’s face it, every coach wants to be paid more (or at least they should want to be paid more).

I do. It doesn’t mean that I’m greedy (although I do like money), I believe 100% that I’m a better coach with more energy when I’m compensated properly.

But how many coaches pretend like they don’t care about money? Like they only care about helping others, and could care less about how much is in their bank account?

This kind of BS’ing leads to them being underpaid, getting burned out, frustrated and ultimately resentful towards the few low-paying clients that they might have.

I’d estimate that 95% of coaches need to increase their fees. If you fall in that category, don’t delay – bump them up TODAY.
