I’m a big fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, and let me tell you … it’s not easy being a Jays fan!
Baseball seasons are long, and I watch a lot of baseball over those 6 months (162 games).
In this 2023 season, the team had its share of ups and downs.
It’s not easy to make the playoffs, but they managed to do it this season (although barely – they crawled across the finish line, and it almost seemed like they were trying to blow their chances in the final week)
But I was optimistic as I sat down last night to watch them start their best-of-three, Wild Card playoff series against the Minnesota Twins,
And true to form for the team this season, they crapped the bed!
The Jays got themselves into a hole in the first inning, they made stupid base running mistakes, and they couldn’t get important hits in big situations.
They lost the game 3-1, and their season will be over with just one more loss.
I was ready to pull the hair out of my head last night while watching, and I’ve talked with coaches who feel the same level of frustration with LinkedIn.
