A story for those who are afraid that they’re posting too much content, or sending too many emails to their list.
I heard Guy Kawasaki speak at a conference a few years back, and he said that he once did a little experiment.
He decided that he would post the exact same post (word for word) from his Facebook fan page 3x on one day, to see how many of the 450,000 fans would complain about the identical posting.
Would it be 1000?
Maybe 5000?
It could even be 10,000!
But Kawasaki figured that with almost half a million fans he could afford to lose some.
Guess how many people complained to him?
Just two …
His point was that people aren’t paying attention to us as much as we think they are, and you shouldn’t be afraid of putting more content out there.
If someone who has 450,000 fans got just a few complaints, how many do you think you’ll get?
I see coaches that put out just one “really good” piece of content every week.
I’m not big on this approach.
You could create the best thing in the world, but if you’re only putting it out once, a lot of people are going to miss it (unless you’re paying for advertising to keep it in front of people).
I prefer the approach of staying in front of people daily, instead of hoping they stumble across the rare content you release.
Anyways, I’m probably biased but I believe the content inside the pages of my Secret Coach Club hard copy newsletter is pretty damn good, and will help you get more clients into your coaching business.
The October issue goes to print soon, and it’ll include a transcript of an exclusive interview that I just did with Jeremy Slate to show how he protected his business against Cancel Culture.
