I was thumbing through Seth Godin’s book “This is Marketing”, and came across a gem for coaches who are struggling with the question of what to offer:
=====
“It doesn’t make any sense to make a key and then run around looking for a lock to open.
The only productive solution is to find a lock and then fashion a key.
It’s easier to make products and services for the customers you seek to serve than it is to find customers for your products and services …”
=====
Following this advice will allow you to avoid the mistake of spending months (or in some cases, years) creating something only to have nobody buy it.
The market will tell you what it wants, if you take time to listen and engage.
Speaking of offers, the deadline to get into my Secret Coach Club for October is next Sunday, October 3rd at midnight (EST).
The October issue will be answering scary problems encountered by coaches, and will also include a bonus transcript of an interview that I did with Jeremy Slate showing how to survive Cancel Culture!
