Earlier today I wrote about President Kennedy, and the importance of making decisions.
Although JFK is often remembered as being perfect, he was human and made his share of mistakes.
He made plenty during the failed attempt by the US to overthrow Fidel Castro in the disastrous Bay of Pigs invasion in Cuba in 1961.
One big one was cutting down the number of planes that were supposed to strike Cuban air bases. The original plan called for 16 of them, but Kennedy got cold feet and cut that number in half.
Then he called off a second wave of air strikes that were meant to protect the freedom fighters on the ground, which essentially killed any chance they had of overthrowing Castro.
By not going full force, Kennedy failed and suffered an incredible defeat, loss of political capital, and loss of reputation with other leaders around the world.
Just as JFK could have succeeded by not holding back, the same goes for coaches.
Take email, for example. Instead of emailing their lists daily, they hold back out of fear. They may increase their frequency from once a week to 2x or 3x a week, but they’re still holding back.
Daily emails work. They work for me, and they work for a lot of others.
But “daily” means daily. Not just a few times a week, or even four or five times a week. Anything less than daily is holding back.
Hesitation usually comes from fear, and that’s why I’m doing something about it.
October’s Secret Coach Club newsletter will lay out my system for doing daily emails, to take the questions out of it.
Subscribers also get to “pick my brain” by email, so I’ll be here for any questions that you have as you start doing your daily emails.
It gets sent out on Monday – the deadline to get it is this Sunday at midnight EST:
