HELPING COACHES GET MORE CLIENTS SINCE 2014!

Don’t be a Harlem Globetrotter!

by | Feb 1, 2020 | Blog

While on a coaching call earlier this week, I told a client of mine that he was being a “Harlem Globetrotter”.

My client is great at what he does. He’s been at it a long time and he knows what he’s talking about … but he’s overcomplicating things.

Like the Globetrotters, who perform trick plays, shoot from all kinds of distances and angles on the court, and use crazy props to make fancy shots, my client is making things more difficult instead of going for the simple layup and the two points.

He’s not alone, I see this happening a lot in the coaching world – there’s a sense that if things are too simple they can’t possibly work.

(I place a lot of the blame on the gurus who paint a complicated picture to justify the price of their expensive magic funnels and systems)

When I launched my Coaching Jungle Mastermind groups, I reminded myself to keep them simple and focused on members receiving actionable advice, feedback, and accountability.

The structure isn’t complicated, and that’s why it works so well.

The next group opens this month, and you don’t even have to be able to dribble a ball to benefit from it.
