I’m not a fan of doing a local “bricks and mortar” business.
I did it for over a decade, and in early 2014 I left for good to start my online coaching business and escape the whims and the tremors of my local economy.
I read an article in my newspaper this past weekend that reaffirms that decision. It seems like wages have gone down in my neck of the woods over the last year …
That’s right: they’ve gone down.
Because of inflation, It’d be bad enough even if they stayed the same.
But to decrease?
That’s not good.
That’s what I love about running an online coaching business.
You aren’t stuck in your local sandbox, or subjected to the goings on happening around you.
The world is your oyster, and you’ve got 7 billion+ people that you can do business with.
Although I live in Atlantic Canada, most of my clients are in the US, and a good number are overseas.
The best part is they pay me significantly more than my local market could pay.
(added to that is the fact that I can run it from home with my Macbook and Skype, and I don’t have to pay for an expensive office, staff, etc).
For me, it’s a no-brainer.
If you want help getting an online coaching business going, I’m here for you.
