This week was March Break in my part of the world, and I got out to do some activities with my little guy.
The nice thing about running an online coaching business is it gives me the flexibility to do that, when there are lots of people who are working 9-5 jobs that don’t give them as much freedom as they would like.
No, this isn’t going to be one of those “everyone should start a business!” messages, because not everyone hates their job or wants to start a business.
And it’s not going to be one of those “4-hour workweek” things either. There are already enough gurus out there claiming you can work a few hours a week and dip your toes in the sand enjoying drinks the rest of the time (personally, I’d be bored silly if I only worked a few hours a week).
However, there are plenty of people looking for a way out of their current jobs, and if so you’re living in a great period of time to make a transition.
Gone are the days when you had to invest a lot of time and money into starting a business.
In 2020 you can grab a domain from GoDaddy in one minute for a few bucks … and you’re off to the races.
Of course there’s a lot of work to be done after that, but you can get into the game for very little nowadays.
