The last few days I’ve been talking about the importance of niching for coaches.
When I’ve done this in the past, I’ve had some people reply with:
“But what about __,? She doesn’t have any actual niche and she’s killing it!”
Or …
“You’re wrong Marc – look at _, he’s successful and he works with anybody”
I’m not saying that you absolutely have to niche to be successful as a coach.
But I am saying that it’s easier to gain traction when you narrow your focus from the broad, generic “will work with anyone” approach.
It’s tough enough to build a successful business, why would you want to make it harder than it already is by staying broad and general?
I say narrow your focus to gain traction, and after that if you want to expand your scope you’re in a good position do it.
But if you don’t get rolling in the early days, you won’t have that opportunity.
The October issue of Secret Coach Club is a special niching one, and there’s still time to get it before it heads to the printer tomorrow night.
