Direct messages (DMs) are a hot topic in the online coaching space now.
A lot of the chatter out in CoachWorld is complaining about being hit with unsolicited messages from strangers that are annoying, thinly-veiled sales pitches.
Full disclosure: I’ve ranted about it occasionally, usually after getting a bunch of them across my social media accounts in a couple-hour time span!
But my opinion on the topic has become more nuanced recently after I talked with Chris Baden and Sean Malone from FlowChat about it …
Chris and Sean weren’t fans of selling by the usual DM way either, so they perfected a “Sell by Chat” system that changes how it’s done.
Their system isn’t about sending out hundreds of copied and pasted messages a day, or any tricks or games when messaging someone. It isn’t icky and just feels natural, so it makes you stand out from the spammy DM folks.
The proof is in the pudding as they used the system to generate $104,352 in just 41 days!
