I rarely buy my local newspaper anymore, but I sometimes grab the Saturday edition.
I’m not sure why, given how thin it’s gotten over the years – you can now read the thing in two minutes, and it’s not going to make you any smarter.
Yeah it’s only a few bucks, but the rapidly-shrinking newspaper reminds me of Stephen King’s “Thinner”, where an obese lawyer hits a Gypsy with his car and has a curse placed on him that causes him to lose weight at a crazy rate.
When I look at that newspaper, and other useless things that cost a few dollars, I feel better about the investment coaches make for my Secret Coach Club.
