I’m all for doing things that make you stand out from the crowd.
It’s a loud and busy online space, and if you want to get noticed then you have to be unique.
Oola is a good example of this:
When Dr.Dave and Dr.Troy (“The Oola Guys”) started their movement, they didn’t want it to be the same as everything else out there.
So they did out-of-the-box things like driving a 1970 VW surf bus around the country and inviting their fans to write their biggest dreams on multicoloured stickers to slap on the side of it (they now have 26+ layers of those stickies on the side of it).
Things snowballed and they now have millions of followers, and even regularly receive pictures of Oola tattoos that people have gotten inked on their bodies.
