HELPING COACHES GET MORE CLIENTS SINCE 2014!

Is Facebook really evil?

by | Nov 14, 2017 | Blog

I was reading an article the other day where Sean Parker, the first President of Facebook, basically called the platform “evil” and said that he helped build a monster.

“God only knows what it’s doing to our children’s brains” he said as he talked about the methods that Facebook and other social media platforms use to get people hooked on them.

He’s not alone in these criticisms – others are attacking Facebook for things like the spread of “fake news” and Russian propaganda.

I’m not denying the addictive nature of Facebook. If I’m being honest here, I have to admit that I’ve struggled with Facebook addiction and have to force myself to stay off of it (not always an easy thing to do).

But I also prefer to look at the glass as being half full, rather than half empty.

My business wouldn’t be what it is without Facebook. A lot of the coaches who I’ve helped first connected with me on there, and I like to think that I’ve been able to help a lot of others with my posts/videos and what we’re doing in my FB group, The Coaching Jungle (you can check the group out at www.TheCoachingJungle.com).

Facebook has given a voice to coaches all over the world, who in the “old days” would have had to rely on ancient methods like local ads and flyers to reach their potential clients.

Now, coaches (and all online entrepreneurs) can step outside their sandbox and work with any of the 7 billion+ people in the world …

And that’s a good thing.

So with all due respect to Sean Parker, who knows a lot more about tech stuff than I do, Facebook isn’t completely evil.

A big part of my 10 Clients In 90 Days group program is teaching you how to use Facebook (or your social media platform of choice) to get more clients and have a bigger impact online.

Four of the six spots are now taken, just two remain.
