Facebook groups: a “terrible” idea for coaches?

by | Jun 1, 2017 | Blog

I read a blog post yesterday (written by the folks at Instant Teleseminar) that argued that Facebook groups are a “terrible” idea for coaches.

For the record, I strongly disagree with their stance.

Their reasoning is that you shouldn’t group your clients into one place on Facebook, since it makes it easier for competitors to pick them off.

Also, they say it makes all coaches look the same, since a lot of us are using groups nowadays.

There’s a reason why Facebook groups are so popular …

Because they work.

I just filled two of my group programs (10 new clients in total) primarily with members from my Facebook group, The Coaching Jungle.

In my experience, those who run down Facebook groups are people who A) have never had a Facebook group, or B) started a Facebook group but didn’t get results, and are bitter about that (the same thing goes for email marketing, with people who haven’t gotten results from it declaring “Email is dead!!!”)

If you jump in and start a group with no plan, and don’t have a clear way to monetize your group, then it’s a waste of your time.

But if you’re a man (or woman) with a plan, they can be highly profitable.

I take the guesswork out of how to grow, engage, and monetize a successful Facebook group with my Group Gold Program.

In the program, I share all of my insights from building The Coaching Jungle to almost 6000 engaged members (with no paid advertising), and I also include interviews with more than 20 successful group owners who are rocking it with their groups … some have almost 50,000 members in theirs!
