I’ve learned that people have different preferences for how they work best.

Like where they choose to work from.

Some people prefer to work at a coffee shop. They head to their local Starbucks and fire up the laptop, feeding off the energy and the noise while they bang away at the keyboard.

Me? I don’t like coffee and I prefer to work somewhere a little more quiet, so my home office is my preference.

The few times that I’ve tried to work at a local Starbucks, they didn’t have electrical outlets at the only available table – so I was left hurrying my work before my laptop died.

It’s “different strokes for different folks”.

The same concept applies to how your clients operate.

For example, you’d think that given the choice, most would choose to be helped by a coach 1:1 instead of in a small group program.

But I’ve had some situations where the opposite is the case.

I’ve had clients who requested to be in my group program, since they like working alongside others.

They just like the group vibe. I guess it has something to do with the connections made in a group, and the accountability that comes from working alongside others.

There’s no one right answer for anything. It’s all about you knowing yourself, and then adjusting accordingly.
