HELPING COACHES GET MORE CLIENTS SINCE 2014!

Success isn’t a popularity contest

Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends!

Here’s what’s on my mind this morning:

A lot of coaches are too concerned with what others think of them.

If they see someone unfriend them on Facebook, they’re thrown off their game and wonder “Why?!” all day long.

If someone unsubscribes from their email list, their feelings are hurt.

An online troll floats into their world and spews insults, and it gets into their heads.

I’ve dealt with plenty of the above examples, but I don’t get too worked up.

Full disclosure: back in the day, those things pissed me off, but I’ve dealt with enough nut-bars that my skin has gotten thicker.

Just last week, someone on Facebook commented on one of my live videos and said (basically) that I sucked and I’m horrible. He then said “Go ahead, unfriend me” and when I did, he got upset.

(Nobody said that online trolls are that bright …)

If you aren’t getting criticism thrown your way, it probably means that you aren’t out there enough. You’re playing it safe … you’re not out on the battlefield, where the real results are found.

I suspect that fear of criticism is one of the biggest things holding coaches back, and unless you get past it you won’t reach your full potential.

I’m not saying that it’s fun to have haters, but success isn’t a popularity contest.

If you need help growing a thicker skin and growing a bigger coaching business, here’s how I can help:
