HELPING COACHES GET MORE CLIENTS SINCE 2014!

Eggs aren’t meant to be in just one basket

by | Aug 12, 2016 | Blog

Yesterday I told you about hiring someone to handle my new digital strategy, and I wanted to share why I’m making those moves.

Back when I started coaching, I started with just 1:1 services.

Then, I added my group coaching program.

After that, I introduced online programs to reach more people.

At the moment, I’ve had a lot of people who want to get my help, but aren’t ready to jump into my online program, Your First 5 Clients (it’s $497 – you can check it out at www.YourFirst5Clients.com)

I’ve heard from enough of those people to know that I need offerings that fit the budget of people who are building their coaching businesses on a shoestring budget, and that’s where my new digital guy comes in …

(I’ll be sharing the exciting news as we roll stuff out!)

I’m sharing this as a lesson to work your way towards having different offering that match different needs, and budgets.

I’m a big fan of starting with 1:1 and group programs, but fleshing that out as you go along with online programs, membership communities, etc.

You don’t want to have all of your eggs in just one basket, because if that basket tips over, you’re screwed.

If I get hit by a bus while crossing the street today, I will be in pain (ouch!) but my business will continue. I probably won’t be in a position to coach 1:1 in a hospital bed since it’s hard to operate Skype with my limbs in casts, but I still have different revenue sources from my coaching business to keep me going.

Give thought to what other baskets you can set up. Don’t make all of your revenue come from just one source.
