One of the questions that I like to ask the coaches who come on the podcast is to recommend a resource that they consider essential to their coaching businesses. Before I started the podcast, I would have ranked online scheduling tools near the list of resources for my own business, but I wouldn’t have guessed how many of my guests would think the same way.
A number of guests have chosen online schedulers as their top resource, including today’s guest Amanda Griffith (her scheduler of choice is SimplyBook.Me). The scheduler that I use is ScheduleOnce, but a lot of coaches use TimeTrade, or Calendly, or one of the many other choices. To the best of my knowledge, almost every guest that hasn’t mentioned a scheduler on air at least uses one in practice (and used it to book the actual interview with me!).
Why wouldn’t a coach use such a tool? Without a scheduler, setting up an appointment to chat would be a frustrating experience. You and the other person could go back and forth five or ten times trying to coordinate a day and time that works for both parties. In the busy and hectic life of coaches and their clients, coordinating such connections would be difficult and add a lot of stress and confusion to our lives.
Do you use an online scheduler? If so, which one? If not an online scheduler, what’s the one resource that you couldn’t live without as a coach?
