Thanks to everyone who celebrated our 200th show with us this week (if you haven’t listened to it, check out that episode with John Lee Dumas).  I appreciate the support of Coach Nation and have been overwhelmed by how coaches have reacted to the show since it launched – I set out to do a podcast that helps coaches build stronger businesses, and that’s what drives me to keep doing it!

Milestones are also a time for reflection, and I spent a lot of time thinking about the podcast as episode #200 approached.  I looked at what was working, and what wasn’t working, to see how I could tweak it to improve.

The biggest change that this reflection will bring is with the frequency of the show from a 7 day, Monday – Sunday format to a 5 day, Monday – Friday one.  Why am I doing this?

– I was hearing back that 7 days a week is “content-overload”!  A number of listeners have commented that they were having trouble keeping up with all of the shows and falling behind.  My intention is for you to hear every coach that’s on the podcast, not to have to miss some due to time constraints!

– My coaching business is getting really busy with the introduction of new programs including “Seize Your Niche” and “Natural Born Podcasters”.  It’s been a challenge to try to keep up with the influx of new clients with a 7 day/week show schedule, and this change will allow me to service my coaching clients better.

– When I polled listeners of the show, including a Facebook group that I run with 200+ past guests in it, the response was overwhelmingly positive with the change.  My fear that the change would somehow hurt the podcast proved to be unfounded, and listeners seem to be happy with a 5 day/week schedule, which will still give a lot of value to the coaching community.

So there will be no new episodes this weekend (or any weekend going forward, aside from the occasional bonus one), but take that time to enjoy with your family, recharge your batteries and brainstorm ways you can improve your coaching businesses.  Or you can get caught up with any episodes of Natural Born Coaches that you may have missed!
