Think you’re too old to make things happen?
Ray Kroc didn’t even start with McDonald’s until he was 52.
He failed over and over again for three decades before that. But when someone asked him about being an overnight success, he said:
“I was an overnight success, all right, but 30 years is a long, long night”
Here’s what I love about Kroc’s story (and yes, the movie “The Founder” takes major liberties with the truth, so don’t believe everything you see in it):
He thought BIG even when he was “too old.”
Most people hit 40 or 50 and start thinking smaller. Kroc went the opposite direction.
“If you think small, you’ll stay small”
So here’s my question: Are you thinking big enough?
Or are you playing it safe because you think your window has closed?
It hasn’t.
I just recorded a podcast episode about five books I read last year that coaches should check out, and Kroc’s “Grinding It Out” is one of them.
