HELPING COACHES GET MORE CLIENTS SINCE 2014!

No “lukewarm” joint ventures for me

by | Nov 11, 2022 | Blog

Summer is over, but it’s been unseasonably warm for November in Canada …

Speaking of being warm, I don’t do “lukewarm” joint ventures.

A “lukewarm” JV is one where you do a little bit of promotion for it (the odd email or social media post), but you really just dip your toe in the water.

They also have you using swipe copy that your partner sends you, and that everyone else is sending out.

The result is it comes across as the usual, boring marketing-speak.

I do my JVs differently:

First, I make sure the partner has a product or service that will benefit the coaches who follow me. If it’s not the right fit, I won’t do it.

Next, I write all my own content. Whenever possible I inject personal stories about my partner, and I never use swipe copy.

Finally, I promote the heck out of it for a full week – the way I see it, since it’s something that will help coaches then I’m doing them a disservice if I don’t get them to check it out.

This method has been working well the last few years, and I won’t go back to the boring old way of doing joint ventures ever again.

I have two partner spots available before the year ends, so if you have something that helps coaches check this out:
