The Internet is flipping out over Elon Musk buying Twitter.
Some (including yours truly) like it, but others think it’s the end of the world and are talking about deleting Twitter and going back to MySpace or something else.
My two cents?
Twitter has been broken for a long time.
It’s a dumpster fire that bans users who express different political views than the narrative, while allowing terrorist organizations like ISIS to tweet away freely.
It’s all kinda crazy and I don’t think there’s much to lose by Musk buying it, and there’s a lot of potential upside.
He’s talked about introducing free speech (a good thing), and eliminating bots and authenticating users.
How can that be considered “bad”?
I’m all for trying new things that mix up the ineffective, crappy status quo …
