The online space is even noisier than usual.
While you still have to compete with competitors’ business posts, you now also have to battle through a million posts and emails about COVID-19 (and endless debates on when economies should open up, who’s to blame for it, whether it’s overblown/a hoax, etc)
Marketers are trying different ways to cut through the noise and are getting zanier and zanier in the hopes of sticking out and grabbing attention.
I’ve seen some really crazy ones that don’t seem to make much sense, but hey whatever floats their boats …
While I’m all for trying new things to get business, I don’t think you have to act like a lunatic to get noticed.
There are plenty of people out there doing well while just being themselves. My business is actually up, and another online entrepreneur who’s doing well is Tobin Slaven.
