BECOMING A COACH
Jeff worked as a Marketing Director for a non profit organization for 7 years before becoming a writer. A conversation with a friend challenged him to set aside his day to day career to pursue his writing career.
SOME QUOTES FROM THE INTERVIEW
– “I felt like there was something more, and I didn’t want to be missing it 10 years later.”
-“I am a writer, and what do writers do? They get up and write every day”
-“I want a vocation. I want somehting that when I get up in the morning; I feel like I am going to work, doing the things that I was meant to do. Nobody wants to feel like they are wasting 8 to 10 hours a day every day.”
-“These 7 years as a non-profit marketer… I was learning skills that I got to use; that I NEED to succeed in the job that I have now… The average apprenticeship lasts about 7 years, and that perfectly describes that first job of mine”
-“I think the secret to writer’s block is to not believe in it.”
-“Discipline is a muscle and how you build it is you use it more often”
-“Take slow but intentional steps every day that create momentum over time that eventually get you to your goal.”
CURRENT COACHING PROJECT
Jeff is releasing a new book in 2016.
