BECOMING A COACH
In 1997, after finishing law school, Nellie and her husband had the idea to get into starting an online business to help other businesses. The business grew faster than they could keep up with, and they were able to pay off their student loans and move into a larger house. They signed some advertising contracts and moved the operations of their business to an office, and hired employees.
By 2005, they were approached by a publicly traded company that wanted to acquire them. The timing was right as they had three growing children. Soon after, that company lost its entrepreneurial spirit and culture, and Nellie and her husband left. When their non-compete clause expired, they felt there were too passionate, too motivated and too bored to retire early. This is when they started their current company, CorpNet.
