Originally from Ireland and currently based in France, John Murphy is an executive coach that works with business owners, senior executives and management teams to help them with their challenges. He has a background in the corporate world, and as an entrepreneur. He is the host of the “Winning at Business and Life” podcast.

BECOMING A COACH 

John started his career in the insurance agency as a door-to-door salesman. He progressed to become sales manager, then sales and marketing manager, sales director, general manager and eventually, CEO of the company. He realized 12 years ago that he was getting bored with the industry, and it was time to move on and do something different. He wanted to start a business around what he enjoyed most, which was putting together teams and getting people to work together effectively. For the past 11 years, John has been doing this through his coaching business, developing today’s leaders.

BIGGEST OBSTACLE 

Getting busy with the implementation of coaching programs, and the risk of losing sight of the business development aspect of his business.
